Powecom Masks

We have a big batch of folding Powecom KN95 masks with ear loops. These masks are one of the more popular styles when we table at events. You can request some using the form on our Free Masks Page. We also still have plenty of cup-style N95s, if you prefer those!

Our batch has an expiration date of January 2026. Per a NIOSH study from March 2020, most expired respirators still provide appropriate protection in accordance with their standards. A separate study by the National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory found that expired masks filtered between 69% and 99% of particles, which is a less certain result than the NIOSH study, but is still a better filter rating than a new surgical mask. As with all expired goods, things like storage conditions are very important in how quickly something degrades. We are reasonably confident in the safety of these particular masks, but can never be 100% certain.
